I hate spending the money on Halloween/fall pumpkins to decorate with. As a life-long “tightwad”, I want to know my investment will be worth it. Soooo, last year I started up-cycling them! These pumpkin Christmas ornaments are a great way to use those leftover (or marked down!) pumpkins!

Last year, I turned my various sized pumpkins into a snowman, complete with nose, hat & scarf, but this year when I created the pallet snowmen, I wanted to try something else:
Pumpkin Christmas Ornaments
Supplies needed:
- Pumpkins
- acrylic paint {I used red & green}
- giant paintbrush
- clear punch cup
- silver acrylic paint {you know I’m obsessed with acrylic paint right? So easy to use, easy to clean up!}
- silver pipe cleaner
- hot glue gun
How to create your Christmas ornaments:
- clean all dirt and grime off the whole surface of the pumpkin
- cover the entire pumpkin in a thin coat of floor cleaner {preservative}
- paint each pumpkin a single color {if you’re going for the classic bulb ornament}
- paint the inside of the clear cup silver
- LET DRY
- hot glue the dried cup to the top {over the stem} of the pumpkin
- bend the pipe cleaner into an oval loop
- hot glue the pipe cleaner to the top of the cup
- decorate whatever space you’d like to with your giant Christmas ornaments+
Have fun! What do you do with your leftover pumpkins?
