As a blogger, I get to do some pretty cool things.
I have to say, this past week’s trip is one of the coolest things we’ve done.
My children and I loaded up in a car and drove 7 hours to Cincinnati, Ohio. Daddy had to stay home due to work and farm life.
Our mission for this trip? To meet up with a couple of fellow bloggers and visit the Creation Museum. Yes, THE Creation Museum!
We had visited the website umpteen times in preparation for what we’d get to experience. While the website is good, it pales in comparison to actually being there!
{We received free tickets to the museum, planetarium, and workshop in exchange for an honest review of our experience.}
A most excellent part of this particular trip was that we got to meet up with two fellow bloggers and their children!

What a absolute treat this trip was for my family and me!
I think the biggest take away I have from this visit is this:
Exactly. Everything we do, feel, think, and believe begins with our starting point. From that starting point, all of our life is influenced by it.
Here’s another takeaway for me:
Have you heard of Lucy?
My children learned about Lucy through our studies in Apologia’s Science books. Looking at the above photo shows that, based upon the artist’s beliefs, the way the skull that was found was “filled out” is directly impacted by what you believe. As you can see, there are at least 5 different ways the small piece of found skull was filled out. Again, it goes back to your starting point.
Everywhere we went, God’s Truth was proudly proclaimed. How refreshing to be in a museum and not have to weed through the billions and billions of years stuff. 🙂
Enjoy a few photos of our visit-
The petting zoo area was obviously a huge hit with my children. They do love animals!
The realism in the displays was incredible. Here we have Moses and Paul.
We got to sit on Buddy Davis’ talk on Tyrannosaurus Rex. Fascinating man and quite an engaging speaker! After he spoke, he and his wife handed out a kit to make your own T-Rex. This was fun for young and old(er) alike. 🙂
You can bring your own food to eat, or eat from Noah’s Cafe. The food was hot, tasty, and not too expensive (especially considering how pricey food can be when purchased on location).
Bye, Creation Museum! We had a blast and we’ll definitely be back!

What fun! I have wanted to go to this for a while! I think we will start to plan a trip!
Oh, do plan that trip!
It was one of our most favorite places to visit!
Looks like a great time! I’m so glad you made the trip!
It was indeed!
I’m so thankful for the opportunity to go. It was a trip that I had wanted to make for some time. What a blessing to get to do it! 🙂
we LOVE the Creation Museum. We went two summers ago and spent two days. We also stayed with friends and found that the area is a hot spot for digging up fossils. Sounds like you had a great time.
Oh, how fun to go digging up fossils! We’ll have to remember that for the next trip we get to take there! 🙂
Indeed, our life is influenced by our starting point. Anyway, wow, that place was great for a visit! Very educational, I would love to go there with my whole family, I am sure the kids would love it.
My children loved it. I loved it. It’s a great place to go visit and learn. 🙂
Did you kid just pet or feed the sheep? I would love to be there and see myself that realism of Moses and Paul and that evolution from monkey. Hopefully I could take my nephew there who is so into animals. Thanks for sharing this 🙂
They got to interact with all of the animals. You can go into the pen with the chickens, goats, and sheep. The others allow you to just touch and feed the animals.
They have some really interesting animals there too.
Let me know if you get to take your nephew there and how much fun you have! 🙂
