With the gift giving season upon us, now is a great time to let others know what will make your life easier all year long. While a vacuum cleaner is not a diamond ring, it is more practical. 😉
Seriously, when I am given a gift that I can use every day, that lightens my load or makes my daily tasks easier, I am a happy woman. Practicality does reign supreme in my life.
If you’re looking for gift ideas for your favorite homemaker, look no further!
Here is my round up of great gift ideas for homemakers!
1. Cuisinart Griddler
I have had this Griddler for 5 years now and it’s still working perfectly. We don’t have a grill, so this is where I cook all of my steaks, burgers, chicken breasts, and pork chops. It’s also where I maker perfect grilled cheese and panini sandwiches. This is worth its cost. Trust me.
Amazon has it for $83.99 Â and they are also offering a $10 off coupon right now! To use the coupon, just visit the Griddler page and clip it there.
2. Silpat Liners
These liners have been my cookies’ saving grace for many, many years. I believe the ones I use are at least 13 years old now. They are a bit of an investment, but well worth it. Using Silpat liners means no greasing, oiling, using parchment paper, or burning your baked goods.
They are priced at $17.24 for a half sheet size. Check the site for other sizes available.
3. KitchenAid mixer
There’s a reason most every cooking show you watch has a KitchenAid mixer in use. They are that good. Mine is nearing 20 years old and I have no doubt it will continue to be the workhorse of my kitchen for many years to come.
Amazon sells several different colors and models. My personal choice is this one at $390.00, but there are other models priced from $250 on up.
4. Mixer Attachments
When making applesauce, I use the food grinder attachment for my KitchenAid mixer. When processing meat, I use the meat grinder. When making pasta, I use the pasta attachment. When making large quantities of cole slaw, I use the slicer/shredder attachment. There are other attachments available as well. This is a well-rounded machine!
5. WonderMill grain mill
We grind wheat for bread baking, and have used the VitaMix in the past. This year, we upgraded to a WonderMill grain mill and what a difference! This machine is well worth the investment. You can grind wheat and other grains to your desired coarseness. This is used at least once per week in our home!
Amazon has it for $259.99 and I highly recommend it!
6. eMeals subscription
I have used eMeals for over a month now. I have seen a difference in both our budget and stress. No more worrying about what’s for supper. No more not having on hand the ingredients I need. No more asking at 3pm what I should make for supper. Now, it’s all laid out for me, meal plan and shopping list both! This will make any homemaker’s life easier!
7. Ice Cream Maker
Is there anything more tasty as a dessert than homemade ice cream? It’s one of our favorites! My ice cream maker is over 10 years old and still works perfectly. There’s something to be said for buying quality items. You can pick up this Cuisinart ice cream maker for $49.
I hope these gift ideas help you in your gifting needs this year! I’d love to hear what you would add to this list! 🙂
